EcoDirect jet

In 2003, Eltosch has developed the patented EcoDirect jet system which has a considerably increased efficiency in contrast to conventional hot-air drying systems. With traditional slot type nozzles, it is frequent that especially at larger sizes, the air flow over the whole width of the nozzles is irregular. In particular, the air volume in the edge areas of the substrate is lower.  It has been tried to reduce to a minimum this effect by feeding in the hot air on both sides as well as by integrating special fittings in the nozzle. Furthermore, thermal energy is lost because of the external heating of the air on its way to the nozzle.

That is why Eltosch has combined the patented double chamber slot nozzle technology with internal heating units. The heating units are expanded over the whole nozzle length. The heating power increases linearly to the nozzle length. Furthermore, the direct heating in the nozzle raises considerably the degree of efficiency and reduces energy consumption. Even with large air volumes, maximum temperatures can be achieved. Thanks to the especially developed nozzle geometry a clearly increased air volume as well as a uniform air flow can be realized over the working width in order to dissipate humidity/dissolvents.
