TwinRay UV module
TwinRay is an innovative UV system developed by Eltosch for curing of UV inks and lacquers on heat-sensitive substrates (e.g. films).
In 2004, Eltosch responded to the worldwide increasing demand for an efficient and compact solution for UV curing on heat-sensitive substrates by developing the TwinRay UV module.
TwinRay eliminates the well-known printer’s problems as mis-register, buckling sheets or exceedingly high pile temperatures.
The patented TwinRay module has a completely new shutter reflector concept that manages centrally the radiation’s reflexion.
Two narrow UV lamps emit the UV radiation that is reflected on to the substrate via a special rotary reflector. This system reduces the IR radiation on the substrate almost by 100%. The pure UV radiation generated without thermal radiation is ideal for film printing.
In stand-by mode, a rotation of the reflector directs the radiation in the module where it is absorbed. This system is simple but extremely efficient.
With 240 W/cm, this dual lamp system offers enough power reserves for demanding curing tasks – but without any negative heat impact on the substrate.
Furthermore, both UV lamps emit the double-peak intensity profile for an effective UV curing.
The TwinRay UV module is extremely easy to service. It can be opened without any tool and within seconds. Lamps and reflectors can be replaced in a very short time thanks to plug contacts and clip connectors.
