WhiteCure UV module
For a long time, users and curing specialists were faced with the problem of full curing of opaque white, high-pigmented colour inks and black tones.
Therefore Eltosch has developed WhiteCure, a module concept particularly focussed on this requirement, characterized by particularly doted lamps and adapted reflectors. This system works successfully in very different applications around the world.
The white pigments of the UV ink absorb largely the UV radiation with a wavelength under 380 nm and therefore reduce extremely a deep curing responsible for a good ink adhesion on the substrate.
The solution is an optimized printing ink with photo initiators that react in a wavelength area above 380 nm. The WhiteCure UV system is exactly adjusted to these inks.
An especially developed UV lamp emits predominantly UV radiation in the spectral area above 340-440 nm where the photo initiators react while the pigments do not yet absorb it. A particularly optimized reflector reflects the radiation intensively in this spectral area, that thus can deeply penetrate the ink layer. It is this combination that emphasizes all advantages mentioned.
This effect is even more noticeable when the highly efficient LightGuide UV modules are combined with electronic power supplies.
